When summer comes, we all want to be outside, and that includes dinnertime! Grilling has a reputation as a way to cook beefy burgers and chicken, but it can be a fun way to eat more plants, too. We’ll focus on grilling one of everyone’s favorite foods: Pizza!
Homemade pizza on the grill is much easier to master than you think, and it is absolutely delectable when made with flavorful plants instead of cheese. We’ll start with a quick demonstration on how the dough is made, and move to grilling the veggies and making toppings. Then we’ll grill pizza, for a crowd-pleasing meal.
If you’d like to cook along, we will send you the recipes, equipment list and shopping list that we will sent you a week ahead of time. Follow the steps to have your dough and ingredients ready to grill. You’ll need a hot grill at the appointed time, and if you can get a grill wok, that will be helpful, but not essential. Along the way we’ll learn about methods for veggie grilling and seasoning, and other tips and tricks to make your plant-based foods really pack a flavor punch!
